Matthew Black

Network Representative

Matthew is a retired U.S. Army First Sergeant with 25 years of honorable service, a combat veteran, and a former U.S. Army and Department of Defense Linguist of the Year 2002. After transitioning from the military, he became committed to addressing two challenges he saw impacting families: the need for mentorship among fatherless young men and the financial pressures that strain marriages. Driven to make a meaningful impact, Matthew volunteers at the local youth retention center and later founded Prosperity Retirement Group, LLC to help families navigate financial decisions with clarity and confidence. As an Investment Advisor Representative holding a Series 66 registration, along with life and health insurance licensing in Georgia and the CLTC designation, Matthew also serves as a Network Representative for My Federal University, bringing a careful, personalized, and research-driven approach to every client relationship.

Matthew and his wife—his business partner and a veteran of the financial industry—are active members of Journey Community Church and live in Evans, GA. He also serves on the Augusta Regional Youth Detention Center Advisory Council and the Military Intelligence Corps Association – Master’s Chapter. Together, they have five children and one grandchild.
